Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a resource tribute?
Open the Tribute entry screen from the main navigation. Select the resource type — Mead, Timber, Iron, or Crew — then enter an amount and an optional note. Tap the confirm rune to record the entry. Positive amounts increase the balance; negative amounts reduce it.
What is a "Work" and how do I track its phases?
A Work represents an ongoing project or task in your settlement. Open Works from the navigation, create a new Work with a name and starting resource costs, then add Phases to mark milestones. Each phase can carry its own resource allocation. The Annals will record every phase transition automatically.
Where is my data stored? Does RuneKeep sync anywhere?
All settlement records — resource balances, tribute entries, works, and phases — are stored locally on your device only. RuneKeep makes no network connections. Your data never leaves your iPhone and is not accessible by anyone other than you. Deleting the app removes all records permanently.
My resource balance looks wrong. How do I check the history?
Open the Annals screen, which contains the full chronological record of every tribute and work event. You can scroll back through all entries to identify where a discrepancy entered your ledger. Each entry shows the resource type, amount, timestamp, and any note you added.
How do I reset a resource back to zero?
Enter a tribute with a negative amount equal to the current balance of the resource you want to clear. For example, if Timber is at 24, add a tribute of -24 Timber. This records the event in the Annals so your history remains complete. There is no silent reset — every change is part of your settlement's record.
